The "DMOR" Ceremony, where six of the Charlie Co. guy's receive honors
This is the "Distinguished Men of the Regiment" ceremony that honors the past and current men that have made a special effort in behalf of the 506th Currahee Regiment. They honored one from WWII Era, One from the Korean War Era, and six guys from the Vietnam War Era. All six of these guys were from our own Company C, 2nd/506th Inf. Our "Congratulations" go out to Gary Gilliam, Frank Matsko, Jim Roesch, Capt. (Col. Ret.) Bob Seitz, Roy Skeggs, and Bob Von Almen. These guys have been there repeatedly to support the current Charlie Company when they deployed to Iraq, when they returned from Iraq, and when they deployed to Afganistan, and this homecoming return. A very special congratulations goes out to our own Col. Ret. Bob Seitz who was appointed as the new "Retired Colonel of the Regiment" by the Battalion Commander. He does a lot in support of the 506th and has a heart for reaching out and helping today's Currahee's.
