Aug 1970 - FSB O'Reilly - Bill Stokoe

Bill Stokoe was a super good friend of mine. We had known each other since AIT and been through the NCOC at Ft. Benning, served as training NCO's at Ft. Ord, and finally served in Nam together. Bill was in the 3rd Platoon for a while when we first got into country. Right after this photo on FSB O'Reilly he fell off a bunker and impaled an engineering stake into his leg. He was gone for a month of recovery on the hospital ship off-shore then returned for a brief period. He DROS out early due to family problems.
