Remembering the 2nd Platoon Stand-Downs

Coming in from the field on a "Stand-Down" was an incredible time for each of us. They wouldn't deliver your packages from home into the field. So when you got to the rear, all of your packages and new mail was waiting for you. Man, the trash in the rear whooch's could get knee deep quickly.
